History

February 1934 Yamamoto Trading Company was founded with capital of 0.5 million yen, and the company obtained the exclusive distributorship of the German machine tools to import and sell them in Japan.
September 1941 Company name was changed to Yamamoto & Co., Ltd. Its plant, current Tokyo Plant, was built in Koganei City, Tokyo and started manufacturing and marketing precision cutting tools.
August 1951 Company name was changed to Koganei, Ltd. and started manufacturing and marketing super finishing machines.
December 1958 Koganei started manufacturing hard metal deep boring tools (BTA tools).
August 1961 Koganei constructed Komagane Plant in Komagane City, Nagano prefecture.
August 1962 Humphrey Products in US and Koganei signed their technical licensing agreement on air valves.
March 1987 Koganei started fluororesin products business for semi conductor industry.
May 1990 A local subsidiary Taiwan Tun Kuang Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in Taipei, Taiwan.
February 1991 Kyushu Koganei Corporation was founded in Miyakonojo City, Kyushu.
October 1991 Company name was changed to Koganei Corporation.
November 1994 Koganei was granted ISO 9002 certification.
November 1995 Koganei was granted ISO 9001 certification.
November 2000 Koganei was granted ISO 14001 certification.
March 2003 Technical-Center-North was constructed, and Shanghai Koganei Mrchatronics Equipment Corporation was founded in Shanghai, China.
March 2004 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Corporation was founded in Shaghai, China.
August 2006 KOGANEI-PORNCHAI Co.,Ltd was founded in Bangkok, Thailand.
August 2007 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Coporation wuxi branch was founded in wuxi, China.
August 2007 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Coporation dongguan branch was founded in dongguan, China.
August 2007 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Coporation beijing branch was founded in beijing, China.
June 2009 Head office was relocated to Koganei City, Tokyo. Tokyo office was renamed head office.
December 2010 KOGANEI KOREA Co.,Ltd was founded in Seoul,Korea.
December 2010 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Coporation shenzhen branch was founded in shenzhen, China.
February 2011 KOGANEI ASIA PTE. LTD. was founded in Singapore.
February 2011 KOGANEI VIETNAM Co., Ltd. was founded on Long An Province, Vietnam.
July 2011 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Coporation suzhou branch was founded in suzhou, China
April 2012 KOGANEI International America, Inc. was founded on California, U.S.A..
September 2012 Shanghai Koganei International Trading Coporation ｇuangzhou branch was founded in ｇuangzhou, China
October 2013 TAIWAN KOGANEI TRADING CO.,LTD. was founded in Taiwan (ROC)
November 2013 KOGANEI(THAILAND) CO.,LTD. was founded in Bangkok, Thailand
April 2021 KOGANEI AUTOMATION (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. was founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
